Scuba diving with Acqua Life Majorca

If scuba diving isn’t already on your bucket list, I would suggest adding it onto there. It’s been something I’ve wanted to do for ages and the opportunity finally presented itself whilst on vacay in Majorca!

Tucked away in Calas de Mallorca, a municipal district of Manacor is the Acqua Life Dive Center. Acqua Life offers a great range of awesome activities including dive courses, dive trips and boat journeys. After having been for my scuba diving taster session with them, I can honestly say it was the most amazing thing that I’ve ever done and I can’t wait to dive again.

No experience, No problem

My primary concern was that I wasn’t sure I had adequate experience and knowledge. Luckily, If you’re completely new to scuba diving, the guys over at Acqua Life offer a brilliant “try scuba diving” session for just €75. You don’t need to have any PADI qualifications to book on and all your equipment, wetsuits and pre-dive lessons are covered.

Before entering the water, you learn how to communicate and you’re taught some of the diving safety basics. After this, you’re driven out to a beach where your diving instructor walks you through how to use the equipment and you practice breathing underwater. Once the educational stuff is out of the way, you’re then free to dive with your instructor and check out some of the marine life!

The dive will last between 40-50 minutes depending on how much air you have left in your tank. If like me, you get excited and swim around loads then your air won’t last as long. Acqua Life have a number of dive centers located around the world, so if you’re interested in booking onto a diving course, I’d recommend doing through them! Their prices are really reasonable and their instructors are great!
